Orchestra Victoria

Orchestra Victoria is a major Australian arts organisation that values artistic integrity, community and future generations of musicians and music lovers.

Orchestra Victoria currently has 69 permanent musicians, and employs around 200 casual musicians each year.

Vacancies for permanent positions within the Orchestra are advertised in local and national newspapers and on this website approximately 4 weeks prior to audition dates.

Applicants must prepare set pieces and orchestral excerpts (which are available at a specified time prior to the audition). Interstate or overseas applicants may submit a taped audition. It is the policy of Orchestra Victoria to give preference to applicants who are Australian citizens.
