Privacy Policy for Orchestra Victoria Limited

Orchestra Victoria (ABN 95 096 788 804) has adopted this Privacy Policy to ensure that it handles private information about persons responsibly. It is important to Orchestra Victoria that persons dealing with it are confident that Orchestra Victoria respects their personal information and does not interfere with their privacy when handling this information.

Orchestra Victoria is bound by the National Privacy Principles (NPPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Health Privacy Principles (HPPs) under the Health Records Act 2001 (Victoria) and other applicable legislation. Personal information

Orchestra Victoria collects personal information from a range of sources. These include its subscribers, people who request information about the programs, functions and activities of Orchestra Victoria, and its patrons and other sponsors or donors of funds to Orchestra Victoria. This information would normally consist of a person's name, address and other contact details. It may also consist of information relating to subscription details (such as booking and seating preferences), and details of donations made by its patrons, sponsors or donors.

Orchestra Victoria also collects and holds information about its employees and contractors and applicants for work. This information includes information (including health information) that is reasonably related to that person's employment with, or work for, Orchestra Victoria.

Orchestra Victoria also collects information about persons who supply goods and services to Orchestra Victoria. This information may consist of names, contact details, business names, and business contact details and other information relevant to the goods and / or services supply contract.

Why we collect this information

Orchestra Victoria collects information about its subscribers and patrons to provide the information and services requested by you and to manage its fundraising, sponsorship and subscription activities.

Information about employees and workers is collected so that Orchestra Victoria can fulfil its obligations as an employer or contractor.

In relation to suppliers of goods and services, Orchestra Victoria collects information to assist with the proper administration of Orchestra Victoria's business.

Source of information

Orchestra Victoria usually collects personal information directly from the relevant individual, or from a person acting on that person's behalf. This information may be disclosed when a person makes a request for information about any activities of Orchestra Victoria, when booking tickets, or when making a donation or applying for a subscription. This information may be collected from written correspondence as well as from communications by electronic and oral means.

In some cases, such as in relation to the employees of a contractor engaged by Orchestra Victoria, the information of the employee may be collected from the employer (the contractor).
