Acknowledgement of Country
We acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the land on which we work, the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung people of the Eastern Kulin Nations. We pay our respects to their Elders past and present, and to all First Nations people across Australia, whose traditions of music making and storytelling have continued on this land for millenia.
Hello and welcome to Tomorrow is a Brand-New Day, the third instalment in our special Storytime Series, designed for our young and young-at-heart audiences. Telling stories is at the heart of what we do here at Orchestra Victoria, and we are so thrilled to present Davina Bell and Allison Colpoys’ book in a new and interactive way, with a brand new composition by renowned composer Alan John and featuring a selection of our talented Orchestra Victoria musicians. We hope you enjoy the musical prowess of our woodwind and percussion musicians as they bring this intricate musical score to life exploring the depth of our feelings and how we can learn and grow from our experiences. A message from our General Manager, Jacinta Ewers
